Floating Home Stolen by Unscrupulous Dock Master

Roger Arqueta, the former Dock Master of Mariner's Bay instigated an "Unlawful Detainer" against my floating home although I had never been late or missed a rent payment. I had had a fire aboard, the cause was never found but the circumstances were suspicious! Another floating home needed an "end tie" and rumor was that the owners were willing to pay $50,000.00 to any dock master that would make one available!!! Eventually the money was exchanged some of which was given to the above dock master who had been on the take for years...How do I know this? I know the man who brokered the deal. He confessed to me as long as his name would not be mentioned. There is a history to this story and I will be telling it in installments. It is long and convoluted but interesting as there are judges, commissioners, and unsavory lawyers involved. There are good people too, who tried their best to help, Senator Jenny Oropeza, County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky, the County Sheriff's Office and the Fire Department among others. Bribery is rift in the Marina, this is a know fact, documented by the many owners of the boats who paid various dock masters under-the-table funds to obtain a slip. Because of this economy the dock masters have seen this source of income vanish as boats continue to be abandoned creating an abundance of available boat slips. But the Dock Masters are still on the lookout for under-the-table funds, proven by the fact that my floating home now sits illegally in a slip at Bar Harbor Marina allowed there by guess who...??? Losing Jobs at the Race Track

The excuse for being laid off of a "non- union" job was senority, my hire date was later than so-an-so thus so-and-so will keep his/her position. Not only are some of these so-and-so's negligent and don't do the work expected but many are actually doing other activities that are interfering with the job. The management is actually rewarding detrimental behavior! In this economy should bad behavior on the job be rewarded and doing a not only good job but an excellent job be punished???
